                                                   Puppy Updates

This page is updated weekly to keep the new owners informed of the changes and activities that are going on with the pups. It is intended to help the new owners keep track of how their pup is doing and watch as they progress until they are ready to join their new families. Hopefully it helps you get to know your puppy somewhat before he comes home. Be assurred your puppy is loved and will come to you pre-spoiled and very  socialized to children, people and other pets.

Today  8/29/2023 Sammy had her beautiful litter.  There are 7 pups, 4 girls and 3 boys. There are only 2 fawns like Mom and 3 light brindle like Dad and a couple darker brindles. They are all gorgeous and strong snd healthy. Mom and babies are doing fantastic!

Today 8/31 the pups went for their first vet exam and to have their tails docked and dew claws removed. The vet commented how strong and healthy they are. All passed with flying colors, but they were all glad to get back home to Mom

Today 9/5 the babies are a week old. These days they don't do much, but eat and sleep and grow and boy they are getting big fast!  Next week things will begin to change. They will start opening their eyes and become more mobile. I will be starting to weigh them weekly to monitor their weight gain to make sure everyone ig growing as they should. Once everyone has their eyes open, new pictures will be taken and posted. I think you will be surprised at how much they have grown and changed..they are definitely a cute bunchWink

Today  9/12  Sammy's pups are 2 weeks old. They have been growing and gaining weight nicely. They are right on track, all weigh 2 pounds or more with the biggest pup currently being little girl #1 weighing 2.12#. All the pups have their eyes open a couple are still not totally open but will be in the next day or so. New 2 week pictures were taken and I must say they are a very squirmy bunch and it was hard  to get pictures that show just how cute they really are but you can see how they are growing. Sutures are out from their tail dock and they will receive their first worming next week.

Today 9/19  the pups are 3 weeks old.  they are walking steady on their feet now and no more belly crawls.  They are even begininning to play and interact with each other some. Also they are beginning to hear now and has a result are using their little voices to bark, growl and whine at each other and their Mom. They also are starting to get their little teeth. I tried them this morning on rice cereal mixed with puppy formula to see how they would react and they were not very impressed. The weaning process will begin later this week however. They are all gaining weight and are around 3#.  #1 girl is still in the lead at 3.6#  they also had their first worming done. Next week new pictures will be posted.  Things are about to get loud and crazy around here soon, but the cuteness of watching the pups grow and explore their world warms my heart.

Today 9/26 the babies are 4 weeks old.  Things are going to be rapidly changing from here on. The pups are getting their teeth and full on weaning has begun this week. They are eating the puppy gruel 3x's a day and only eating from Mom a couple times. Some of the pups have taken well to the gruel while others will need more time to adjust. The water bowl has also been introduced although they are not fans just yet. Puppy pads have been put down and during the day they are in their play area, but for now Mom is still staying with them through the night. They are playing more with their toys and interacting more and playing with each other. The pups were all weighed and all gained around a pound this week; they will start growing quickly now being on the puppy gruel. New pictures were taken and posted now you see how big and cute they are getting and why I love my boxer babies.

Today 10/3 Sammy's pups are 5 weeks old.  Things are progressing quickly..funny what a difference a week can make in a puppy's life.  They are now eating whole kibble that has been softened some in warm milk and they are drinking water like champs. They nurse from Mom first thing in the morning and in the evening before they go to sleep. Mom is no longer with them during the night and they are doing great.  They are out in the office during the day which gives them plenty of room to run and play, they love playing tug with their toys. they all weigh at least 6 pounds this week with little girl #1 still in the lead at 6.8#  Next week will be busy with new pictures, 2nd worming and their puppy vaccines. If the weather is nice I'm hoping for the pups to have their first outside playtime.  They are working hard to become the best little puppies they can in preparing to join their new families.

Today 10/10 the babies are 6 weeks old and oh my goodness have they grown in this past week!  The biggest pup is still #1 little girl she weighed 9.4#..the smallest is petite little girl #7 who weighs 7.8#..the remaining pups are all around the 8# weight.  They are all doing well and eating their puppy chow like Champs and still getting nourishment from Mom.  The pups are running around like crazy and have loved being outside for short periods in this cooler  weather. They had their official first bath in the tub today and did well..ears cleaned and nails trimmed.  Also it was the day for their second worming and are scheduled for their first puppy shots tomorrow.   All these firsts are preparing the pups to join their new families in a couple short weeks.  Hope you enjoyed their 6 weeks pictures outside.ðš˜Â€

Today 10/17 the pups are 7 weeks old. It is truely a miracle to watch them transform from helpless newborns into the independent, rowdy, sweet loving pups they are now.  Soon will be the bittersweet time for me as I watch them leave with their new families and begin the next chapter in their lives. They have years of growing and exploring and making memories and bonds  with their new best friends and caretakers. Thank you all for loving one of my pups!  All the pups have their first vaccines and are ready for their new adventures.  All the pups are in the 10# range and #1  is 11.6#.  Little girls #1&2 are still looking for their new families if you might know anyone.

Today 10/24 the pups are 8 weeks old. All of the babies have found wonderful new families who love them and will take care and spoil them beyond measure. A couple of the pups have already joined their new families and the rest will be joining theirs shortly. The pups are weighing in anywhere from 12# -13# -14#  and the smallest for now Adonis who weighs 10.8#. This will be the last update on this litter so again I want to thank you all for loving my pups and giving them a wonderful new life. Please keep in touch so I can see them as they grow..thank you...  Donna
